🌿 My Breeding Philosophy

At Davis Farm Boston Terriers, every breeding decision begins with one simple priority: producing Boston Terriers that can thrive as beloved family companions.

I do not breed for trends, novelty, or mass production. Each pairing is thoughtfully planned based on health, temperament, structure, and the long-term strength of my lines. My girls are first and foremost cherished members of my family, and only considered for breeding when they meet my standards of quality, health, and emotional stability.

I believe that a responsible breeding program should preserve and improve the breed while honoring the individual dog in front of us. I try to improve the breed by breeding with the goal of producing dogs that have a slightly longer nose bridge to help improve their breathing.  Some of my girls, like Bentley & Bryn, are retired and living their best lives as  family companions. Others, like Piper, represent the next generation of carefully planned lineage that reflects both beauty and balance.

My goal is simple: to place healthy & affectionate Boston Terriers into homes where they will be deeply loved for life.

🧬 Health Testing & Standards

Health and temperament are the foundation of everything I do at Davis Farm Boston Terriers.
​
All of my breeding dogs are AKC registered and come from proven champion lines. Before becoming part of my program, each dog is evaluated for structure, temperament, and overall health.
​
I prioritize responsible health practices that include appropriate holistic veterinary care, genetic awareness, and ongoing wellness monitoring. My goal is to reduce preventable health risks through thoughtful pairings and careful selection of breeding stock.

My goal is to improve the breed to the best of my ability and to attempt to breed dogs with longer snouts than the typical Boston Terrier in an attempt to help them breath better.

🐾 How My Puppies Are Raised

​

My puppies are raised inside our home as part of our daily family life, not in isolated kennel environments. From the very beginning, they are handled with care, consistency, and love.

​

In their earliest weeks, puppies receive gentle daily handling and early exposure to normal household sounds and activity. As they grow, they begin the process of socialization through safe, structured interaction with people and their environment.

​

I gradually introduce:

​

• Gentle human handling and touch

• Household sounds and routine activity

• Early confidence-building experiences

• Clean, safe, comfortable living spaces

• Appropriate weaning and nutrition support

My goal during this stage is simple: to raise confident, well-adjusted puppies who transition smoothly into their new homes.

Each puppy is also given a veterinary wellness check, age-appropriate vaccinations, and de-worming before going to its new home.

🏡 Puppy Goes Home With You

​

Bringing a Davis Farm Boston Terrier puppy home is the beginning of a lifelong relationship, and I want that transition to feel smooth and supported.

Each puppy goes home with:

• Veterinary health records from a thorough veterinarian health examination  

• A care guide for the first days at home

• Guidance on feeding and routine

• Familiar comfort items to ease transition

I recommend a calm, structured first few days as your puppy adjusts to their new environment. Consistency, routine, and patience go a long way in helping them feel secure and confident.

I also provide guidance on crate training, feeding schedules, and early bonding routines to help set both puppy and family up for success.
